Enock Sackey, father of a final year Visual Arts student of O’Reilly Senior High School who was stabbed to death is demanding justice.

A tragic incident occurred yesterday, September 2, 2024 at O’Reilly SHS in Accra, where final year student Edward Borketey Sackey was stabbed to death by a fellow student after a heated argument.

According to him, he saw his son off and while at work, he strangely received a call from one of his nieces that his son had been stabbed in the heat of an argument at school.

On his way to the school, he was later asked to report at the LEKMA hospital instead, because they had rushed his son there.

Unfortunately, he said upon reaching the emergency of LEKMA hospital he was hit with the sad news of his son’s passing.

“The doctor said Edward has passed away. So when they showed me the body, he had been stabbed three times in his chest,” he said.

He lamented that “The school authority has not said anything from yesterday up till now. The police have not called, the school authority has not called, even the boy who killed my son, nor have the family even reached me. That is why we are here to seek justice for my son.”

According to him, he needs answers from the school authorities, the police and family of the boy who stabbed his son.

“They have brought policemen to block every gate stopping us from going in…So that is why we are here,” he stated.
