Following the declaration of H.E John Dramani Mahama as the President-elect of the 2024 presidential election by the Electoral Commission (EC) of Ghana, HRM Dr. Amb. Eze Chukwudi Ihenetu has congratulated Mahama as the new President-elect.
Emerging as the winner of Presidential race by securing a landslide victory, H.E John Mahama and Dr. Bawumia competed for the race as the two main competitors for the presidential bid.
HRM Ihenetu in his felicitation remarks commended H.E Mahama for his calm composure by ensuring peace among his political party members as their standard bearer.
He prayed for God’s guidance and protection on Mahama to enable him execute all his agenda driven-policies for the betterment of Ghanaians.
HRM Ihenetu was optimistic that, Mahama would serve Ghanaians in their utmost interest.
On the other side, he expressed gratitude to Dr. Bawumia for conceding defeat to H.E Mahama earlier before the declaration of the results by the EC and classified the act as peaceful conduct and gentlemanly.
According to the Igbo King in Ghana, peace must reverberate irrespective of political, religious and ethnic affiliations.
His Royal Majesty expressed heartfelt appreciations to Ghanaians for conducting a peaceful election process devoid of mayhem that would disrupt its national peace.
Lauding the efforts of all agencies, rulers and individuals who worked indefatigably to ensure the peace in is maintained, he admired Ghana’s team spirit as united people fighting for the maintenance of peace.
Underscoring Ghana’s trajectory of peace, HRM Ihenetu indicated that Ghana has performed remarkable well since its democratic years and have also exhibited maturity in preserving its peace other African countries looks up to.
The Igbo King in Ghana called on other countries in Africa and beyond to emulate Ghana’s peaceful co-existence in conducting general election.
HRM Ihenetu again sent his good wishes to Ghanaian youth in comporting themselves during and after the elections, and called on heavenly blessings on all Ghanaians youth.
