Asante Kotoko has announced the sacking of head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum.
A club statement issued yesterday, said that the “decision was reached following constructive discussions between both parties, with a shared understanding that it is in the best interest of the club at this time.”
The statement urged the club supporters to remain calm and continue to support the club during this transition, adding that further updates will be communicated in due course.
Coach Ogum returned to the club in July 2023 for a second stint, having guided the team the league title during his first stint in the 2021/2022 season.
He guided the side to place sixth last season.
This season Kotoko currently lie fourth with 47 points, having recorded 13 wins, 8 draws, and 7 defeats while scoring 28 goals and conceding 21.
Their last two games against Accra Lions and Nations FC ended in a 3-0 and 2-0 defeats, fueling the decision to sack coach Ogum
