 Ghanaian music legend, Charles Kwadwo Fosu, affectionately called Daddy Lumba is expected to thrill lovers at the Grand Arena today.

The legend on the night dubbed ‘Valentine With Daddy Lumba’ would be supported by other heavyweights like Kofi Nti, Adina, Abiana, Ofori Amponsah, Kofi Kinaata, KK Fosu, Maya Blu and C Zar among others.

According to the lead organis­er, Nabil Alhassan, the inspi­ration be­hind the event was to organise a classy programme that caters for a matured audience this Valentine period.

The event would honour legends and promote the authentic Highlife genre, which is the heartbeat of Ghanaian music.

Nabil Alhassan said they settled on the Ghanaian music icon because as a living legend, Daddy Lumba’s impact on the music industry was unparalleled.

He urged patrons of the event to expect awe-inspiring performances from the leg­endary Daddy Lumba, who has shaped the Ghanaian music scene over generations with timeless hits, soulful melodies, and unfor­gettable lyrics.

Daddy Lumba over the years has not only entertained but inspired countless artistes and fans alike.

His ability to blend storytelling with rich instrumentation has made him a cultural icon whose music is still as relevant today as it was decades ago.

The event would be a celebration of a legacy, a once-in-a-lifetime experience designed to honour the artistry, passion, and influence of Daddy Lumba.

 Praise Reloaded:  Joe Mettle to rock El-Wak Sports Stadium on June 29

 Believers will have an unforgettable time of worship at this year’s Praise Reloaded by Joe Mettle, slated for the El-Wak Sports Stadium on June 29, 2025.

This year happens to be the 14th edition since the inception of Praise Reloaded.

This edition, with the theme ‘Festival of Gratitude,’ will see Ntokozo Mbambo, Na­thaniel Bassey, and Akesse Brempong team up with Joe Mettle to lead the gathering for ‘Thanksgiving’.

Speaking at the launch, which took place at the Palms by Eagle Hotel in Accra last Friday, Joe Mettle said, the last edi­tion was held at a bigger venue, the Accra Sports Stadium, but unfortunately, due to restrictions on the use of the pitch for concerts, they could not secure it.

Against this backdrop, the team explored other options and settled on the El-Wak Sports Stadium for an awesome atmosphere.

He said, there are some other gospel musicians and Men of God who would be announced ahead of the main event on June 29.

Additionally, Joe Mettle revealed that God laid on his heart to make this year’s event free for patrons, and urged them to come with an expectant heart to enter into an atmosphere of breakthrough.

Akesse Brempong, on his part, said he was optimistic that God will do something re­markable in the lives of patrons

 Gospel singer releases ‘Make a Way’

 Sensational gospel singer, Ce­lestina Achiaa Annor known in showbiz circles as Ohemaa Tina has released a single ‘make a way’ to encourage Christians in challenging times.

The song which is already making waves has received a lot testimonies from listeners.

In an interview with The Specta­tor Agoro, she said the lyrics reflect deep personal conviction, drawing from biblical promises that God makes a way where there seems to be none.

The song, she says, was a testi­mony of how faith can sustain people through life’s struggles.

Speaking about the inspiration be­hind the song, Ohemaa Tina shared that it was birthed from her personal experiences and faith journey.

“This song is not just for me but for everyone who finds themselves in difficult situations, those who feel abandoned and are waiting on God to turn things around,” she explained. “It is a prayer wrapped in music, a plea for God to make a way when all doors seem shut.”

She revealed that like many believers, she has encountered mo­ments where she had no one to turn to but God.

 Israel Ofori drops new song ‘Wo Fata’

 Gospel musician Israel Ofori has officially re­leased a new worship song ‘Wo fata,’ a song of deep devotion and birthed from a place of gratitude and reverence to God.

The new song which was released on Good Friday, April 18 is inspired by the bible verse of Revelation 5:9 which states “And they sang a new song, saying You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals because you were slain, and with your blood you purchased for God’s people from every tribe and language and peo­ple and language.”

Wo Fata blends Israel’s vocals with rich instru­mentation, creating an atmosphere of worship that echoes with believers world­wide.

Speaking with The Spec­tator Agoro, Israel said “my prayer is that this song becomes a tool for people to express their love and wor­ship, drawing them closer to God’s presence.”
