Ghanaian musician Champions Gaza Peace with New Track
Fast-rising reggae dancehall artist Rukayatu Abubarkar Jawando has released a new song titled “Stop War,” aiming to encourage global efforts to end violence in Gaza.
The track, produced and edited by Ras Bonbas, is a heartfelt call for peace and an end to the war in Palestine.
It was written by Martin Quarpong who said the release of “Stop War” had garnered significant attention, adding to the growing chorus of voices advocating for an end to the conflict in Palestine.
Reacting to the song’s release, Palestinian Ambassador to Ghana, Mr Alsataari, expressed his delight at the growing support from the Ghanaian entertainment industry.
He praised the artist’s initiative, stating that such efforts were crucial in raising awareness about the dire situation in Gaza.
“An end to the violence in Gaza means an end to the death of innocent people, especially children. The song’s message is clear: the world must unite to promote peace and end the ongoing violence,” Mr Alsattari emphasised.
He extended his gratitude to the musician and her team for their thoughtfulness and hoped for a future where Palestine can experience peace and freedom once again.
The songstress also used the occasion to urge the general public and fellow entertainers to leverage their musical talents to promote peace globally.
According to the Ambassador, the release of “Stop War” is more than just a musical achievement; it is a good reminder of the role that artists can play in advocating for peace, adding that it also serves as a call to action for people everywhere to contribute to the global peace movement.
“Promoting peace worldwide is not just a noble endeavor but a necessity for the survival and prosperity of humanity. In a world marred by conflict and division, the power of collective action and the influence of cultural expressions like music can bridge divides and foster understanding,” he stressed.
Known in showbiz as Ruki, the songstress highlighted the unifying power of music in the fight against violence and injustice.
The song “Stop War” she said exemplifies how art could transcend boundaries and speak to the shared human desire for a peaceful existence.
She stated that by uniting voices and efforts, a world where violence is no longer the norm and where future generations can live in harmony could be created.
“Together, we can use music as a tool to end violence in any part of the world so let us take inspiration from this song and commit to being active participants in the quest for global peace,” Ruki added.

Minister MBA has released a new single titled “W’aseda” (My Thanks), a powerful song of gratitude to God for His miraculous healing. After being diagnosed with a life-threatening liver disease and seeking medical help at various hospitals, it was God’s intervention that brought complete healing to the gospel artist.

Minister Bernard Appiah, known by his stage name MBA, is a Ghanaian gospel musician born in Cape Coast on April 9, 1995.
He developed a love for music from a young age, performing at family gatherings and church events.
Despite studying aviation at the Global School of Aviation, he followed his passion for music, becoming a worship leader.
His mentors include Elder Mireku, Uncle Ato, and Pastor Joe Beechem, whose ministries greatly influenced him.
This year (2024), MBA released his debut album, “M’aseda,” featuring collaborations with talented artists like Harry Fiscian and Oheneba Clement.
Alongside his music, he leads a group of believers focused on reaching busy professionals with the gospel through music and discipleship, and runs The MBA Rescue Foundation, which supports orphans, prisoners, and needy children with scholarships and hospital bill payments.

A heated debate erupted among contestants vying for the 2024 Miss Tourism Ghana crown as they discussed the pressing issue of climate change.
The contestants, participating in a series of activities to exhibit their knowledge and skills, were asked to share their views on whether climate change should be incorporated into the country’s school curriculum.
The debate, which took place as part of the competition’s judging process, featured a panel of experts including Kofi Atta Kakra Kusi, Deputy Director of Domestic Marketing at the Ghana Tourism Authority, Afua Pokua Afrifa, a retired business administrator, and Juliana Bempah, Principal Programme Officer at the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
The debate session of the competition was held at the Accra City Hotel. Miss Tourism Ghana Pageant is focused on promoting the majestic tourism paradise Ghana have.
The grand finale of this year’s competition is scheduled for September 20 at the National Theatre.
